♦  Aristolochia Indica is the botanical name for this Indian Birthwort also it has two different common names as Snakeroot and Aadu Theendaapaalai.

♦  This is one of traditional medicine used by most of the Indians thus the extracts of this Indian Birthwort are mainly given to the women in post-delivery, not only that but also it plays a major role in cures the snakebites.

♦  The flowers of this plant are said to resemble a snake or a curved foetus.

♦  The common Hindi name for this plant is Ishwar mul.

♦  The name suggests that it has the efficiency of neutralizing snake venom.

♦  To reduce fever, diarrhea, and inflammation, the powder should be mixed with about 5 ml of coffee three times a day.
